1 Peter 5:8-14

^8 (A)Be of sober spirit, ^(B)be on the alert. Your adversary, ^(C)the devil, prowls around like a roaring ^(D)lion, seeking someone to devour. ^9 [a](E)So resist him, ^(F)firm in your faith, knowing that ^(G)the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your ^[b]brothers and sisters who are in the world. ¹⁰ After you have suffered ^(H)for a little while, the ^(I)God of all grace, who ^(J)called you to His ^(K)eternal glory in Christ, will Himself ^(L)perfect, ^(M)confirm, strengthen, and establish you. ^11 (N)To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen.

¹² Through ^(O)Silvanus, our faithful brother ^[c](for so I regard him), ^(P)I have written to you briefly, ^[d]exhorting and testifying that this is ^(Q)the true grace of God. ^(R)Stand firm in it! ¹³ She who is in Babylon, chosen together with you, sends you greetings, and so does my son, ^(S)Mark. ^14 (T)Greet one another with a kiss of love.
